Throughout his 35 years in the Industry, Karl-Heinz supported various trailblazing operational and technical activities in air transportation.  After graduating as aeronautical engineer he worked as Human Factors Consultant, followed by various research and management positions at DLR. Karl-Heinz was the Total Airport Management Research Coordinator, and is named as the Total Airport Management (TAM) evangelist. He moved into the supplier industry, joining SITA in 2018 and in 2025 the ZÜHLKE GROUP as Head of Aviation.

Karl-Heinz holds various positions as EU-Evaluator & Advisor, Co-Chairperson of the Airport Simulation and Performance Assessment Group (ASPAG) and Subject Matter Expert in air transport working groups i.e. at ACI and Eurocontrol.
