Daniel McCoy serves as Vice President of Innovation & Process Improvement for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, where he leads innovation, emerging technology, and continuous improvement initiatives supporting Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Orlando Executive Airport (ORL).

Daniel is focused on MCO the “innovation-native airport”. He leads trainings, product exploration, and autonomous programs to augment frontline employees, orchestrate complex operations, surface hidden insights to improve the journey for airport colleagues and passengers alike.

Previously, Dan served as the Chief Innovation Officer for the Transportation Security Administration within the Department of Homeland Security where he established the US Government’s first Innovation Doctrine and over 100+ LIFT Cells, airport based and trained innovation teams.

He has held leadership roles at BMNT and Deloitte Catalyst, focused on accelerating technology adoption and innovation program operations in government.

Daniel holds degrees in Economics and Political Science from Hofstra University, a Certificate in Design Thinking via the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, and is a Lean Six Sigma practitioner.
