Ernst-Jan van Batenburg serves as Senior Strategic Advisor for Data, AI & Analytics at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. In this capacity, he is responsible for shaping the airport’s Data & AI strategy and guiding its long-term data transformation initiatives.

Prior to joining Royal Schiphol Group, Ernst-Jan van Batenburg served as Director of Data Analytics Europe at Liberty Global. In this role, he led teams responsible for developing advanced data products across the company’s European operations. His professional interests lie at the intersection of Corporate Strategy, Data & AI Strategy, Digital Transformation, and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence.

Ernst-Jan van Batenburg holds an international MBA (USA track completed at Kellogg School of Management). He has further enriched his academic profile through post-graduate studies at NYU Stern School of Business and Columbia University in New York. Beyond his professional pursuits, Ernst-Jan has a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship of watchmaking and actively follows developments and innovations within the horological industry.
